10 SEEDS OF Phyllostachys blue,10 Seeds of Giant Bamboo
Belonging to the Poaceae family, native to China, Japan, the Giant Bamboo is a high-growth plant, reproducing by creeping stolons and by seed. It is a plant that creates a real forest and has a truly spectacular and extremely interesting charm from a useful and environmental point of view. It absorbs 5 times more carbon dioxide than a forest and releases 35 x 100 more oxygen into the air. The genus Phillostachys indicates the giant bamboos of which the blue bamboo and part reaches considerable heights in some cases. In China, in Japan, in fact, there are forests of this Bamboo with plants that reach and exceed 20 meters in height, with a trunk diameter that even exceeds 30 centimeters in optimal conditions. Bamboo can also be easily grown in a pot; however, your plant will remain dwarf. A warm-humid climate will favor the development of your plant. It loves to be irrigated in the summer, in the first two years of life, after that, it goes alone. Among the various advantages that bamboos have, in general there is that it does not require any treatment with pesticides being unassailable by parasites, and does not require great work and means for its development. The most important work is the collection of shoots and stems or canes. A hectare of giant bamboo on average produces the same amount of wood that 15 hectares of oak forest produce. Excellent in lands with hydrogeological instability as it cements the ground.
